Club Coaching
While we have a number of Level 1 coaches, that take the Come and Try sessions as well as Groups, Archery Australia (AA) requires Club Coaches to have additional competancies. New members may find it beneficial to talk with existing members about their learning experiences but this is no substitute for the learnings gained from a one on one with an AA accredited Coach.
To get you started you should have a look at the Archery Australia FAQ's that covers Equipment, Shooting Technique, Judging and Shooting Rules, Tournaments, Records/Awards/Classifications and National Ranking List.
It is interesting and informative to have a look at Archers Diary to see how scores/results are maintained.
The OzBow system is an intermediate development tool that allows an individual archer to record their progress at multiple distances and record performance based goals that challenge you as an archer.
Use the Coaching Goals document to set your goals and the Coaching Awards document to keep track of your progress with your Coach.

If you are interested in becoming a Coach have a look at the National Coaching Program on the AA website.
